Not listened much to ELP over the years then tonight found this girl...............Rachel Flowers. When I had watched/listened to this first video I followed it up with her rendition of "Tarkus" on "The Moog", blown away by her this girl is worth following. Finally just had to look for ELP's own rendition of "Tarkus"........a riveting performance.
"Rachel Flowers on the Modular Moog - intro by Keith Emerson"
"Rachel Flowers - Tarkus with Emerson's Modular Moog"
"ELP - Tarkus-The Great Gates of Kiev, Munich 1997"

the fan noise of my PC ... Don't tell Javier as he's got 'a thing' about fan noise at the same time as music . Dave. My computer fan gets so loud sometimes I'm happily forced to use the turntable instead Currently listening to Branford Marsalis - Trio Jeepy

Madrugada - Industrial Silence.
Such a shame they're gone forever (broke up due to the passing of the main contributing band member). Simple music, yet powerful in disguise.

A great way to hear what the other guys are listening to and often it's a band or artist you are unfamiliar with, so you get to broaden your musical horizons at the same time. Result! A perfect case in point!! Marc, i'd never even heard of Madrugada. Absolutely excellent! I've listened to the whole album 3 or 4 times now, and its great.I seem to have a bit of a 'thing' for Scandinavian music. On the the classical front I love Grieg and Sibelius. Pop would have to include the mighty Abba, Aha, and Roxette(remember them?). Rock would include my new find Madrugada, and I love the Cardigans, Eagle-eye Cherry, Bjork and The Hives. Jazz would be Esbjörn Svensson Trio, and the Tord Gustafsson Trio. Electronic/Dance would include Basshunter and Swedish House Mafia. Absolutely adore Sigur Ros, but not sure if they could be included in a 'Scandinavian' list and wouldn't know where to put them musically. Ambient? Orchestral? Electronic? All of the above? Anyway I'm in a bit of a punk/new wave mood tonight!! That's why I also like to see your contributions Jeff, our tastes seem to Match very well. Sibelius, hmm. I love his violin concerto to death. But there's an odd duck above. I also love Björk, but she's Islandic If you love Björk, then maybe also Tori Amos? I forgot if you're also a Kate Bush fan? If you love all three then I've got another recommendation (and she's Belgian): Ann Pierlé Cheers, Marc
