Our processors are pretty close Simon and not sure how much RAM is needed for DSD. Either way I'd expect the CPU to usage to be very similar - at least with the Mojo.
Were you using the quad DSD (256) version of the album as I think there was a 64 and 128 version to pick from too?
Initially when I got HQ Player working it seemed to be down-scaling from quad DSD (from 11.2 MHz to 2.8 MHz) so I had to fiddle around so it was showing 11.2 MHz in and 11.2 MHz out. Will need to have a look in JRiver and see if that tells me what it's doing with the files.

It also depends on how you're sending the dsd files out to your dac, Simon. If you set everything on the computer to as high res as possible, you might possibly see a difference. Mine does the 'analogue' trick that Mark described for me when going uo too high so I have to actually lower the output until the files sound ok on HQ Player. As someone said earlier, it's not user friendly and I was lucky to have a remote set up done for me........ Javier? Si senor....... He's absolutely amazing. It was like magic.
