I'm ok with 24V in aren't I Frans? Yes, the 3W DCDC converter in it is wide range and can take any input voltage between 9V and 32V. The HP's themselves only draw 0.2W in total at max volume so the 3W is substantially oversized. The one in Ron's version can only work on 24V.

Hello! Just registered to the forum as i'm a new Ember happy owner. I want to say many thanks to Jeremy. It was a real pleasure doing business with him. Here are few pictures: I'm very satisfied with the amp so far. Still playing with the options to turn the sound to my liking/headphones. I have Grado RS1i and HiFiMAN HE-500/HE-4. Cheers! PD1: @solrighal I really liked your volume pot so i asked Jeremy to install one in my unit! PD2: Questions coming later....

Thanks for listening Jeremy, you have a great product here and getting better, you must be looking for expansion if this keeps up. When you have a minute, (no rush, know you still have a life) maybe you could give us a little update on the linear power supply and filters. Thanks Don

"The Albert Hall bit is interesting too. I'd certainly never considered this before. " Gordon, they now know how many holes (potholes), it takes to fill the Albert Hall! Sorry. "A Day in the Life" reference. Long day.

So Frans, I am interpreting what you said correctly, the Ember with filter will sound even better than the SeNNator, or just won't have higher volume issues?

So Frans, I am interpreting what you said correctly, the Ember with filter will sound even better than the SeNNator, or just won't have higher volume issues? You can try it by connecting the output of the SeNNator to the Ember. Clipping issues will start to come at much higher levels (6 dB louder).

frans he 400 hifiman headphone are possible candidate with your filter method (Ember amp )? The peak at 1kHz will be hard to remove correctly but if you find the HE400 lavking in the treble area (in the same way all other HE's do) like the HE500 and HE6 than that part could easily be improved.

Because you can never have too many valves!
