Two is better though!!
Did you try the 'bass' trick? You might have it switched to 'on' when it is quite enormous!!!

Oh, did I not mention that I ordered another 99???
I did briefly try the bass trick Ian. And then I turned it off. Good to know there is more in reserve but I think the default setting is plenty....and I was worried it might start to come apart at the seams!!

Old thread by now, but I finally took the plunge and ordered a Charge 3. We're just starting on another musical and decided it would be good to have something portable to use in rehearsal when our accompanist is away working with the pit band. This also gives us something to use out in our screened porch, which has never been wired.
The sound is far better than I would normally expect, had I not read your review. In fact, your review (and JBL's reputation) played a major role in my decision to choose the Charge 3. Needless to say, I'm not disappointed!
I may have to buy a second one in the near future. 😉

The stereo configuration really opens them up more. You need an app for iPod though. By default, they both play mono when linked so you have to use the app to switch them into stereo. Once done, they stay like that.
I still like mine a lot and use them all over 5he place!!

iPod only? I guess that won't happen. Oh well. Pity. Either way, great little speaker.

Nevermind. I just saw they have the app for Android, also. Party on!
