Never been to Canada. The thought of going north for a holiday makes me feel the weather might be even worse than here!! Been to Holland quite a lot; even driven there in the car. Actually, I even drove to Switzerland from here which was quite a trip.
At the very end, I had to drive up a mountain to get to our place and the road got narrower and narrower and twisted on the bends at such an angle that I felt a bit nervous. No barriers so you could see a straight drop down. Absolutely mental really.
At least Holland is flat!!

Well, Summer in U.K. isn't at all reliable. I have a gazebo in the garden to get out of the rain!!
We're off to Menorca this year which will be a little bit more relaxing than Florida last year. Nice and cut off!!

That's the problem ....
Are we UK. Or UUK (un United Kingdom) GB England or as they say in London .... Ingerland. Britain British Isles
No wonder we're all mad. We don't know what we are.

Scotland. Unless using UK makes things simpler e.g. for international shipping or when talking about things that apply to the home nations as a collective whole. Not intended as a political statement, just have always thought of myself as Scottish and my country as Scotland. I do like our neighbours though

You might like it! Don't worry we can work on your 'see you Jimmy' accent Oh, you mean your near neighbours. We are really quite luck apart from the busybodies two doors along!!

They're from Yorkshire and my gawd, the noise from the woman!!! When she talks indoors, I can hear her outdoors. We have a real Nora Batty. Everyone on the road knows of them.
I like Scotland a lot actually. The accent is a wee bit hard for me in some areas and it can be embarrassing saying 'Pardon?' to everything because some of the Scots think I'm taking the Mickey!!! I'm not though, I really can't understand some of them.

British people often have a thing about their homes and boundaries!! Neighbour disputes are quite common I think. In London, you often don't know who the neighbour even is and out in the country, people can stick their noses in and it often turns upwards!!!
English people and their homes often means trouble.
We have a tv programme here that's very popular .... ' Nightmare Neighbours'

Lack of sun does it to people. High humidity makes everything damp and moldy. Also, it makes cold feel even colder.
