I've been using an SSD in my car for a few years now but I've just changed it and thought I'd get around to adding playlists to the drive. I've only ever made up playlists within the likes of iTunes etc.
The car can read the Windows type folder setup but it takes a bit longer than having playlists.
Anybody know how to make playlists to add to a usb drive?

Thanks CJ, I'll give it a go later.
Incredible, I phoned back to the dealer to tell him the audio manual was missing and he checked and told me that there is no separate manual!
It turned out be untrue but nearly as bad. In the main manual there is a tiny note to say that the audio etc. manual is avaialable online or as an app.
I couldn't find the online manual so phoned the head office helpline to be told they don't deal with manual queries, check with the dealer, pathetic.
I did get the app but the only reference to playlists was to tell you were they were located in the menus screen but nothing about how to prepare them.

Just heard about this program, but not sure if it'll do playlists too: forum.dbpoweramp.com/showthread.php?39617-TuneFUSION-Release-1-Beta-WindowsMost audio players (ie. not itunes) can make playlists off an external drive. I use Musicbee myself, but Foobar or MusicMonkey should do the same. It's a fairly simple process, just treat your SSD as the library and create a playlist as you would in itunes Assuming your car will use .m3u as a playlist format, there are a few utils out there that can create playlists too. I can't think of any off the top of my head, but I'm sure Google will find some

Thanks for the replies, they put me on the right track. By pure chance while reading through your links and wandering off when other posts caught my eye I saw reference to sPlaylistMaker It's maker just said it worked on xp, Vista and Win 7, so it's pretty old but worked well and very fast on Win 10. I was just looking something drag and drop and this is exactly that. Well worth a try for it's simplicity. SSD is back in the car and it's reading all the playlists fine.
