Zero interest? This is an excellent amp, somebody must been looking for this. Still available, open for offers.

Possibly, because this is kind of the 'home' of the Garage Amps and most of us probably have one?
I use an Ember and a Polaris all the time. I also have 4 Kameleon amps which are excellent.

Yes, I agree with Ian. I also have a Polaris....and Ember. Perhaps it would be wiser to try to sell it at HF (?).
Good luck!

You're certainly right! I need to find my old HF account. As this is a bit of an insider product I assumed that people will look up this forum for information on these amps. It's pretty expensive to import them into europe, with shipping and VAT you're easliy at 350€ so the chance to get one around 200€ is quite good I think. It's rare to find one used outside the US. For the security aware, it's also running at ebay germany.

We have a relatively small membership which is actually part of the 'charm' of this place since anything odd stands out like a sore thumb!! I think a lot of visitors come though for info on these amps since it can't get any better than discussing the amp with the designer himself.
The import tax really annoys me tbh. You pay full price for products in the USA with taxes over there slapped on and then a further tax as it comes into the UK. That's one of the 'hidden' problems with Massdrop sometimes.
Over here. quite a few of us are using Garage amps that were built in the UK though. My Polaris, Sennator and Kameleon was built by Solderdude, the designer and another member built my portable Kameleons.
The Sennator is a dedicated Kameleon just for the Sennheiser HD650 which just pushes it up another notch in sound.
Are the ebay ones copies?

Yes, VAT and import stuff is very annoying! The price difference between the kits and the build ones is pretty small, there are no regular european vendors as far as I know? I'd be curious to try a Project Horizon 3 but importing it costs more than I want to spend right now.
I've listed mine on ebay and that's an original garag1217 build. I think I have the original paypal receipt somewhere.

What have you replaced it with?
I started with a Sunrise and then went to the Horizon, which I really liked a lot. Not certain what it was about it, but it seemed to have a lot of power and authority on the sound. Then to Ember and finally Polaris which I love the sound of tbh.
The Kameleon is a very different thing though since it has its own built in eq as well.

I would be curious to try the Kameleon one day but so far I'm quite happy with what I have. The Polaris is replaced with a phonitor e, after listening to this I decided it would be my endgame. It's a great match for the HD650. I've used either Schiit Valhalla 2 or the Polaris for a while, both are excellent for their price.
Polaris is sold, thanks!
