Just dropping a note on a new adapter - Hope you are all well! This adapter is more specific to G1217 amplifiers but can be used on other application. These tubes work perfectly in Ember and Solstice. In a lot of cases with Sunrise or Horizon, input caps need to be bypassed in order to bias. Starlight will be hit or miss. Best if Starlight has input caps soldered in bypass if you really like this tube type. The adapter features heater configuration and also a grounded center shield which is normally connected to the getter on this tube. In AC heater configs, the trace may need to be cut which grounds the shield on G1217 amplifiers. Nice family of very compact tubes. Very quiet in my tests especially for a tube with tiny plates. Also, most variants are very cheap which makes these tubes a nice to have.

I saw this over on the HF thread too. These little tubes are really popular with the Schiitheads, if your adapter works on those amps you should have no shortage of sales

This particular adapter is mostly suited for G1217 amplifiers only with some exceptions. I have a universal version on the way in about a week. It also has a cutout for LED light to pass through

I'm a little late to the conversation here, but thought I add my 2cents. I've rolled quite a few tubes in my Ember and these little 2C51s with Jeremys universal adapter are among the very best. As Jeremy mentioned, they are also cheap - I bought 8 from a Russian seller on EBay for $22 and that included shipping. That's $2.75 each and I call that cheap and they are amoung the top 5 tubes in my collection.
