Okay Jeff here are a few picked at random from the vast amount of music posted on Youtube. Title of this concert is numbered "1" meaning I intend to progress the issue.

The Lord of the Rings Symphony
Following the theatrical release of all three films, Howard Shore reworked the film scores of the trilogy into The Lord of the Rings Symphony, a more structured six-movement work for orchestra and choir. A DVD titled "Howard Shore: Creating the Lord of the Rings Symphony - a composer's journey through Middle Earth". The 50-minute long DVD features extensive excerpts of the concert given by Shore and the Montreal Orchestra and Grand Choir at the "Montreal en Lumiere" Festival, interspersed with spoken commentary by Shore, who recounts his approach in composing the music for the three films and then reworking it into the LOTR symphony.
I quote here a comment by Robert Brown........
“I'm not normally a poetical guy, but listening to this really evoked some strong emotions in me. I'm astonished that we humans can and choose to do all of this! The beauty, the detail, the imagery it evokes! I just get this feeling that the universe is vast and cold and uncaring about us insignificant and fleeting humans, yet we're down here making this incredibly beautiful music anyways, as if to laugh at the universe for laughter's own sake.”

Jeff no apologies for including our own Nicola Benedetti from West Kilbride. If I were putting up a Late Night Classics Concert then I'd certainly include this rendition by her of...... Pärt: Spiegel Im Spiegel ….Nicola Benedetti violin ….Alexei Grynyuk piano You can find it here.... www.youtube.com/watch?v=hV4LlCtvgwEHowever here she is performing with the Scottish Symphony Orchestra Bruch's Violin Concerto No.1 Final Movement Note she has on loan and plays on two Stradivarius violins the mind boggles.
