thanks Mark, but i really do not want to go the iem route again as they are not for me. i do appreciate the offer though and yes , i had missed it. No worries & understand where you are coming from. IEMs are a bit marmite. I realised after I posted that I hadn't quoted you so suspected you might have missed it. Thought I'd better check before offering them to anyone else!!

I did a bit of research on these & can't find any down-sides. My experiences with the type have been mixed tbh. I had Sennheiser IE6's which sounded good but a wee bit bland and I also had Sounmagic E10's which I thought sounded superb but I couldn't get a reliable seal so sold them on. I need something for work as I spend a lot of time on my own. Hmm..

right, i have (for once) decided to take a sensible approach to a closed back phone that may (or may not ) isolate better than my denons. i just jumped on the superlux 662 evo bandwagon. (mega expensive at £34 from thomman uk) figured i had nothing to lose. so my search is on hold, for now.

Bought them yesterday. Checked drivers- they are original. Sound: No bass, too much treble. Modded by changing demping materials. Flatter respone as a result.
