I had the original Zoro at one time. It was ok. Plastic with quite hard pads but a fairly decent sound.
There's an update of it which my hi fi dealer mate reckons is really quite improved and he's bringing me round one tomorrow. They're not expensive. A Beats copy but perhaps better sounding. Another trendy closed headphone designed for phones and portable use.
I'll have a listen to one tomorrow hopefully if anyone is looking for a cheap portable.

It looks promising although the top end seems rolled away quite quickly. My friend thinks they're great value for somewhere around £65 I think. The Senn px200 is about £60 and the well regarded px100 at £30 ish. The px100 has dropped a lot in price and takes some beating.
Don't know what colour he's bring. I just hope it's not pink.

PX100II is very good. I have one, although the top is quite dull in comparison to some others out there. The Portapro brings the top bck but it also brings a strong bass in as well. Finding a portable that's nicely balanced seems quite difficult, maybe because of their size.
I think the Zoro comes in black as well as the more garish colours. It made me laugh when AKG did the same with their 'Y' series as far as colour goes.
My daughter would go mad for a pink headphone.

They've just arrived and they're not that bad. Build is ok. A bit creaky but that might be new, stiff plastic. He brought me a blue one and the cord matches the colour. They look ok on the head. Flat cable that doesn't tangle. Can change the cable. Pads are pleather. Fairly soft so the headphone feels fine on your ears. It's a bit bigger than the old Zoro. Very nice padding on the underside of the head strap. Cups move but are limited in how much they go. Positive clicks on adjustments and they fold away. Isolation isn't too bad so they look fine to me. Sound is really not too bad. In the instructions they suggest a minimum of 192 with MP3, which is quite funny. So I put FLAC on just to be sure. It's pretty balanced in sound actually. No real deep bass (but what do you want in a cheap headphone?) but what there is very well balanced with the rest of the sound. It's punchy but not overpowering. The px100 bass is similar in quantity but slightly woollier sounding IMO. The Zoro bass Has a bit more attack. The top end is crisper than the PX100 and has more in common with the Portapro. It has more presence in the top. It's slightly more sensitive than the px100 as well so it might be prone to pick up noise. With harder hitting bass and a sharper treble, you'd think the mids would be recessed, but they're not particularly back in the mix and the headphone focuses quite nicely at lower volume. So, it has a nice balanced sound in all and I actually quite like it.
