For me the most difficult thing is the language used to describe the sound of different gear. I've been critically listening to two different amps with HD800 and 650, for close to a week now. Someone wants to know which one I think sounds better with these headphones. I am finding it more difficult than I thought. Some days I think amp A is better; others amp B. Last night nothing sounded all that great. I think the terrible news of the shootings in South Carolia may have affected my reaction to the music. Just couldn't get in to it. But when I do think OK amp A is better, I have a difficult time expressing why. I keep coming up with, it just sounds better because........Bass, fuller, no, tighter, no, well defined or is it deeper? Is the treble cleaner or should I say brighter, but that might imply unpleasant which it is not. We need more agreement on what a term means with an example track or something. Some of you here are much better at describing how something sounds than I am. A little frustrating for a science type person to be lacking accurate (at least from my perspective) vocabulary. In reality I think the problem is they are both very good sounding, and it's like that NPR listening test. Very subtle differences that I hear sometimes and at other times not. The worst is when I think the 650 sounds better with amp A and the 800 better with amp B! Maybe I should say get both.

Some nutter on Wednesday night went to a church during a bible study session. He was white, it's a historical black church in South Carolina. Towards the end he got up and started shooting up the place. Reloaded five times killed 9 people including the Pastor and 3 or 4 other reverends and an 87 year old woman. Racially motivated. He's 22. They caught him about 400 Km in North Carolina. He confessed. Said something about "they" had to go.
Now I'm hearing that some folks are saying it was the Pastor's fault because he is/was in the legislature and voted against a law that would have allowed people to bring loaded firearms to church.

Aye Ron,
It's a crazy place you live in. It's not like it's new though. I wonder what it will take..

As Jon Stewart said last night. "I have every confidence that after this tragedy we will do absolutely nothing. That's us."
As I have said before, nobody does crazy like we do.
