That's just nuts! Bad enough here (Detroit area) yesterday with a high of 4F and windchills around -10F. Warms up a balmy 10F today with light winds.

Nice work Frans! I've had an HD580 for nearly 20 years now, and love it! If these are anything like the original HD580, then they will be worth it.
Disclaimer: I'm one of the "few" that don't like the HD650. I find them to sound congested.

Looks like Dekoni has new pads for the HD800: Dekoni Pads - FR (https://dekoniaudio.com/dekoni-audio-sennheiser-hd800-ear-pad-frequency-extravaganza/). Thoughts?

Day off for some Christmas shopping. Relaxing at home now listening to Mozart's Piano Concertos performed by Mitsuko Uchida. The Ember & Kameleon with HD800 is fantastic!!! Frans is a genius!!!

Any benefits, or perhaps better said pro/cons, to all tube amplifier vs hybrid?
What about those designs that use point to point wiring ("hand made") vs. those that use PCBs?
(As you can tell I'm not an electrical engineers.)
Thoughts / comments?
Update
- I should have done some searching - there are a number of webpages that talk about this. Interesting reading. Looks like it comes down to the competence of each design, rather than the approach chosen.
