Oops, a typo there too Should've been lately, not kately. The Pads are one thing, I'm using velours now, but would like to change them to something a bit higher with leather outside, velour inside for comfort. That should add some isolation. And maybe if I add a small layer of something to the cups, dunno what though. I'm actually thinking about rewiring without using the rods, when I have time, the cable would run along one rod and the whole thing enclosed in fabric skin

Hmmh... Kately, I've had trouble with these cans. The rods have bad solder, I think... Also, the cups seem to amplify outer chatter - any way to add some isolation? The pads I should change too, to hybrids...

When the link to the HD662-EVO pdf does not work (it doesn't on anything Google related) try THIS ALTERNATIVE DOWNLOAD which is the same article but remamed. If you still can't download the pdf I can also e-mail it. Please use the ‘contact form‘ on the website or PM me in this forum. Even the alternative download has been claimed by Google, wtf they're up to? Ofc I have the pdf in store, but... Did you try asking MediaFire's support about that?

Oh my, both of the items have arrived and boy they are small. Both the PCB's fit on top of Nokia BL-5CB battery... Pardon the messy table The box they're resting is similar size as Superlux's can.

Right now I'm looking at CSR86xx-modules... Those seem like a good option, but then again, plans might change. Keeping things in their respective cans is a good idea considering the impact of volume. Wonder if I'll need an amp or not. Well, needs to be thought a bit more

Still trying to find enough information to get started. Solderdude, opinions on this?

That one sure is inexpensive But then again, it likely needs an amp to go and ofc the battery. Still cheap. Most likely this is something that needs a bit more thinking - and scouting for more options BH-111 works, but hasn't enough power to drive Superluxes properly as I mentioned... In any case, I find this intriguing.

Now that I have two pairs of these, I'm contemplating on transforming the other pair to Bluetooth-enabled monstrosity... Toying with an idea of transplanting a Bluetooth-module (XS3868 Bluetooth Stereo Audio Module OVC3860 Supports A2DP AVRCP XS-3868 s.aliexpress.com/I7vQRbaA ) to one cup, and a Nokia battery with charging circuit onto another. Silly or pursuable? Oh, would need to add wiring for the battery... If they end in different cups. I still do have a Nokia Bh-111 which I could dissect too. It's downside is the battery... 120mAh ot so

Considering these latest offerings from Superlux and my two pairs of 662EVO's, I cannot help but wonder when they will improve their headband design. Plastic just isn't durable enough.

The headband snapped again, so I took my old worn leatherbelt and cut a replacement... Works just as well until more permanent solution comes up I also redid the solderwork, this time with those crimpable connectors. TBH, those I posted are far from optimal, I think uninsulated ABIKO terminals would be better. Maybe I'll redo them when time comes... But soldering the wires was supereasy this time, so I call it a success. This propably applies to all Superlux headphones that use the rods to transfer the signal.

I like both the original and Disturbed's version. Tonight some Doom Metal for me, as I'll be seeing Count Raven, Cardinals Folly and Mystons.
