Jesus, you wouldn't want to be running to the shop for a loaf of bread ........

I forgot to mention I was pulling a 20' equipment trailer behind me through that soft bottom. Gave the ol' diesel a good workout!

This is looking south from our living room window. You can see why I put up with the long drive.

You also need one helluva lawn mower!! Thought I was a bit cut off here in Crockham Hill, but nothing like that. We have no shops or post office but at least the towns nearby do. It is quite funny though if I have breakfast on my decking. The postman joins me for a coffee!!! That aeropress is being put to a lot of use. I see what you mean about not being able to try headphones though!!!!

It would be like if the nearest stereo shop to you were in Bristol, with only small villages in between. Take that drive every time you want to listen to something new.

btw where does your property end? The ploughed fields, the dirt track or over the horizon?

The plowed field is mine. It goes to the ditch grade at the far end. We have 120 acres of mixed useage land. Ag, bog, high pines, gravel ridge, and lots of hiking trails. We like it!

Starting to get some color at the hill. Love seeing the wild roses pop!

Also, no more freezing nights mean I can reassemble and fill the birdbath.

Three inches of rain today. Makes for a very picturesque evening on the drive home.
