The design as shown is how it is designed now. That is for people who want the metal box with the sliding lid. These devices will not be made by G1217. The PCB will be the green and normal thickness type (cheap). Won't be making many of the boards though. Perhaps 20 at the most. Thinking of assemblying a few of them myself realising that most people either want a kit that only needs soldering and no metal work or a completed device. Would need decals If I sold them ready made and 'ready' enclosures. Not many people like to gather all the parts and do metal work. Later on Jeremy will probably want to sell kits and finished devices in full garage 1217 style. This one will have slide switches facing upwards and have perspex or metal top/bottom plates and most likely a thick black PCB. I reckon his filter modules will also be black and beautiful. 2 selectable filter modules is hard to realise it would require an eleborate mute circuit and long wires and extra relays. Also some may want 3 modules ? As the design is now the switches are up/down and more or less as shown now. Just thought of something to address the desire of having either 'up' or 'down' being 'on' I could make a jumper type of selection possibility on the PCB which allows an owner to select either mode. This way there is a choice.... even on a finished PCB Will .. add that in.

Just made options to use either horizontal or vertical switches. And one can choose to have the 'on' position in the upwards or downwards or left or right position for each switch. Just requires soldering a small bridge or set a jumper.

The G1217 version will probably have slide switches. It will be open at the top to change modules I reckon. As some of the G1217 amps have different dimensions making it stackable could be difficult. In any case you would quickly be able to lift the amp up to change the filter. I love open style of the garage amps and I think the Kameleon filter should also be in the same style, either in open acrylic or open alloy using the same 3mm black PCB with gold plated component pads. Lets see all the lovely hard work and beautiful components that make it special. It should have an easily removable top panel with either small screws or thumb screws to easily change the filter. Actually, a suggestion for Jeremy if he build these is to put them in the same exact size frame and with more pillars, bolt it down on top of the Polaris with a patch lead going into the amp. So in effect, it becomes one unit. With the Tube ones, maybe a hole could be left in the middle of the board, to allow tubes to poke through? So you just take off the roof of the Polaris, put the Kameleon onto the legs with another set of legs to hold the same roof on at the top. Bit like a sandwich!! That would be a neat package and the filter could be changed very easily by just taking the roof off.

Not all G1217 boards have the same dimensions. Also, there are jumpers on some amps that won't be accesible any more after this.
Will have a conversation with Jeremy what he would like and what it will look like. For now Jeremy will probably not have too much time on his hands so the G1217 filter will most likely take quite some time before it will be available I reckon.
Will probably be something that can act as a 'base' under the amps (with the amps loosely stacked on top) or a separate unit.

Make the PCB small enough to fit inside the firm factor of all the G1217 products and just use the desired base to match whichever amp the customer has. I hope the fact Jeremy is busy means he is selling lots of amps. That would be a good kind of busy.

He is busy with lots of other things a.t.m. Have no idea when or how the G1217 devices will be available.
The small batch of filter PCB's will be produced around the beginning of aug.
Then have to build one or 2 versions and make a pdf. So probably the first ones (non G1217) may be available end of august somewhere (time permitting)
Will point Jeremy towards this thread.
