What do you mean by No Limits profile? Where can I find it? How is it difference from the regular HD 650 profile? Assuming you've bought the Sonarworks Reference 3 plug-in the No Limits profile is available from Sonarworks themselves. I got my copy from the author of this postThere's further mention of the profile & what it does here.

Does the no limits profile also affect the mids and treble as well? I don't want more sub bass. Any other difference with the no limits profile? Wrt HD 650.

If anything Aakshey, the hd650 isn't great in the sub bass. Mid bass is boosted which seems to 'cloud' the top end. So, by cutting the bass hump, the treble becomes more apparent and is less 'veiled' as you often put it. (That's why I think the Senn isn't actually veiled. In fact, it goes very high)
The EQ programme also kicks the sub bass properly into action so you get 'proper' bass.
The result of Sonarworks and actually, the Kameleon is that you get really hard hitting low bass and a clearer top end as a result of calming that mid bass hump.
It's one of the best I've heard and I'm afraid that once I heard the Kameleon eq'ing it, I no longer wanted to use the hd650 without it. To me, the Senn now seems 'coloured' and lacking in proper bass.
I'm not saying that it's a bad headphone. Not in the slightest. It's a shadow of its real potential though and Gordon has found another route other than the Kameleon. If the Senn was actually voiced with that eq, I feel that it would be selling at a stupid price. Once you hear that serious bass, it's difficult to use other headphones or the Senn without EQ.

Who is Gordon?
Does it make the bass tighter or is it just more quantity sub bass wise?

I do NOT want more rumbling. That is already too much. I won't mind tighter and faster bass. Anyway, I'd like to try the file. Can you PM it to me S?

Sorry, Gordon is Solrighal. I thought everyone knows him!! The future Scot Prime Minister when he kicks that woman out up there. The bass 'seems' a lot less flabby because the mid bass hump is flattened and the lower bass gets a boost so it hits deep and hard. Only thing to watch might be volume. It's a truly addictive sound.

The Sonarworks plug-in does boost the bass slightly, but only as low as 35Hz, as well as lowering the mid-bass 'bloom'. The 'No Limits' profile pushes the very low end & goes down to 20Hz. On my music collection it's hardly ever noticeable but play the right music and it's incredible. Royksopp, some Shpongle, Daft Punk etc. Very probably timpanis & horns in certain classical pieces too but that's not my forte so I can't promise that. Akshey, drop me a PM with a valid email address and I'll happily send it to you with instructions on how to activate it. Gordon (King)

Blimey, that looks industrial.
Personally, I think that they would be safer in a box to avoid issues. I had very bad noise issues in my last house and it was difficult to find. A case would have fixed it, but as far as the whole series goes, I think Jeremy likes the 'look' of the open frame which they all have in common.
I have absolutely nothing in this house though.

I think he made it himself with a 6"x36" aluminum mesh from amazon. He folded/cut the mesh to make the case.
It does not look particularly good, but I have experienced hum when I use the Ember at work.
I thought it was fun that he did try it though!

Oh that tube rolling thread has really taken off with everyone there getting into the Faraday cage games. But they have kind of got to where they are all trying out very expensive dual tube setups.

Yeah, crazy expensive tubes.
I'm personally very happy with 6Н6П/6N6P tubes. Cheap and sound great.
