Between a full-time job, chores around the farm, helping my daughter in town, and acting in the occasional play, my days are pretty full. I usually sit down for a bit before bed to unwind for 30-45 minutes. That's my short listening session.
With the changes in seasons, we've been experiencing a few cold, windy, rainy days. I finally decided it was too crappy to be outside, and had the chance to sit back long enough to listen to 'The Wall' in its entirety in one sitting for the first time in ages. I had almost forgotten how well the entire album flowed from piece to piece. It was almost a rediscovery, really.
I'll occasionally drag something out that I had forgotten about, only to wonder why I haven't been listening to it for so long.
I guess that means I need to slow down and relax more often... Even if the weather is good.

Things do hit you again if you have a break from them. I had the same thing with ‘In the Court of the Crimson King’ which always surprises me considering when it was recorded.in fact, early King Crimson is amazingly creative ... Lizard, Lark’s Tongue in Aspic...... quite amazing for the time and then they went on after Starless and Bible Black into a more modern, mathematical type of music which nowadays, I find impressive in its time keeping and technicalities, but just doesn’t hit me like the earlier albums.
Weather has been up and down here so I’ve been editing films and testing out mini cameras. Other than that, I get stuck into gardening where I use the old faithful Bluetooth headphones and listen at the same time.
