I'm looking into getting a new Digital music player. Currently I have the Fiio X3 II, which I mostly like, but I'm running out of space on my 200gb sd card, and was considering an upgrade to a player with 2 card slots since I have several extras and the biger cards are getting pricey. My other complaint with the Fiio is the EQ doesn't work on files with a bigger sample rate. I'm a bit of a basshead so I prefer to use the eq to add some punch to the bass.
My main headphones are Beyer DT770 32ohm. Which I use through my Project Ember tube amp. Most of my music collection is lossless .wav files from CDs. I mostly listen to rock and metal, with some classical and jazz of that matters.
My budget is around $300. I don't need Wi-Fi, Android or bluetooth. I'm considering the Ibasso dx120. Any impressions on it, or other ideas?
I use this everyday at work, so it will get heavy use.
