I have always read very positive reviews and a general consensus about these headphones, that's quite unusual in the headphones world. Has anyone listened to them? It would be really interesting to see some measurement.

Sonarworks measured it It seems to have a small treble peak (+4dB). Nothing a passive filter cannot correct. might be a bit warmish but less than M50X. The wing design doesn't work well for all people. Haven't heard nor measure it (no AT dealer around) and don't want to take a gamble with 350 Euros.

Thanks for the graph! I didn't find it in my search for measurements. Now I'll try to figure out what they mean for "perceived ....", I guess some kind of compensation. I'll also look for the same graph of some headphone I've listened to, for comparison. Once you notice the vertical scale it looks quite flat, neutral with a small warm tilt.

Notice the scale is only 2dB/div so indeed very flat. The '0dB' line is 'perceived neutral' This means below 50Hz it sounds a bit 'subbass-light' (lacking rumbles)

From what I've read it's considered an HD600 contender, so it makes sense. But people don't complain about a lack in the sub-bass in general.

the topic is from 2020 but I hope you dont mind if I bring it up Im a big fan of the ATH R70x. It is the most comfortable headphone that I have tried. I do work in a recording studio and I sometimes wear headphones for some hours. When I put on the R70x it almost feels like "no headphones". They are so open and light (210 g without cable). The resolution and soundstage isnt as good as on my HD800s but the R70x needs almost no EQ correction. 120Hz -2 db Q3 9500Hz -3dB Q3 This works for me. The Sonarworks freq graph seems a bit odd to me - cause I dont hear such a steep bass roll off on the R70x. There is just a little to much around 120Hz for my taste.
The low bass I find well extended and accurate (not boomy).
For my normal mix and editing purposes the R70x replaced my HD800s. Partly because of its comfort but soundwise the R70x is less analytic and more relaxed in the trebles, which seems to translate better with my speakers. The HD800s super big soundstage is sometimes kinda disturbing in this regard.
I can confidently mix on the R70x and switch to my Adam speakers without any problems. Cant explain exactly why, but the resolution and soundstage seems to fit with a good pair of monitor speakers. Would be very interesting to see the R70x added to the DIY measurments list. Thanks for this great resource! Over the past years I often came across the DIY-A-H website, when I was looking for a new pair of headphones. But today I did join to contribute a little with my R70x experience.

Sonarworks has an overdone bass compensation so looks weirdly bass shy on all measurements. Below the one from Crin When someone sends one in for measurements I can review it. I like the looks but for me, the few times I played with AT's and other 'wing' headphones I could not get a comfortable and good fit. So it would not be a keeper for me and € 300,- is a bit too much when it is just sitting on a shelf. For this reason buying (with little intend to keep it) and return knowingly taking money from a seller is not something I want to do. When it had another headband I would probably have bought one.

I have zero trouble with the "wing" headband. Very good fit and almost no noticable pressure. I have them since 2 1/2 years and use them a lot!

The AT's I tried all kept sliding down on my head. The wings were pressing on the sides of my head.
The wing system works great for a lot of people, less well for others. It also works the other way around. Some people hate normal headbands (small concentrated area pressure on top of the head) and others think it is fine and aren't bothered at all.
