Excellent choice! Hope you enjoy it. Great pairing with the 1990. With all the money you've saved (for retirement) you can now spend on tube rolling!  actually the 1990 are not getting head time at the moment. i bagged a mint Amiron home, put the dekoni hybrid pads on and not been able to take them off my head. great headphone that i had not considered before reading Frans review of the T1(2nd) where he stated that the Amiron was similar. they cost me £185 plus £60 for the pads. i no longer feel the need for T1 |

One could be worried about head clamp on the Amiron with the Dekoni pads... but the clamp is so extreme you can't take them off... that's hard core.  Expect the 1990 will result in more head time on the H5. The Ami would be too warm on the H5 for my delicate midbass tastes.  |

not overly confident in receiving the H5.
1st one was despatched on 5th september and never made it.
2nd one sent out over a week ago and tracking info has not changed so maybe history will repeat itself.
could be expensive lesson
