Well it is about 50% off from the MSRP so still a bargain in that sense. It does carry the AKG logo and is cheap.
It's not a headphone I would recommend as great sounding. The Superluxes are better sounding (after mods) With the pads from the Silvercrest it sounds a bit better and the comfort is somewhat improved but the thin pleather still 'sticks' to my ears after a while and while it doesn't sound bad it also doesn't do anything exceptionally well that is worth keeping. That 'sticking to my ears' isn't a 'lack of shower' related problem though.... Clamping force is a bit high and uncomfortable when wearing glasses. Since I have to grap my reading glasses more often makes them uncomfortable to me.
The reason I haven't sold it is because there are so many secondhand of them (K518) on market sites that it isn't worth the effort. They sell for about 15 to 20 Euros on occasions (and is what I paid as well)

I'm not sure if you're spoiling my fun or saving me money. Helena felt sorry for me last week and was offering to buy me a top end headphone. You put a stop to that one!! She likes you!!!!
