This shot kinda shows the massive wealth gap visible at every turn as you travel through Manila.. Gordon.

Hum... If I didn't know that it was ManiIa I could be convinced that it was a large American city. Wealth gap and all. I've seen pictures of parts of Detroit, except a lot of the houses are empty. Noticed your equipment list. We don't have the Pending amp over here. Is it an import product or something new out of Scotland? sorry couldn't resist.

Detroit has nothing on Manila. I had a problem when taking photographs in that some of the areas I saw were appalling but I was with members of my Extended family & didn't want to offend them by highlighting the obvious negatives of their country. I know, a good journalistic photographer wouldn't give a damn and would get stuck in. That's maybe why I tend to concentrate on landsacpes.
As for the amp, well, I put pending because WIP would have you equally mystified.

My thoughts are with you Gordon. And thanks for sharing the photographs - that's really good work in my opinion. I very much like your approach to processing the images.

Thanks Derek, I appreciate that.
You will all notice I'm not really talking about the reason I went to Manila in the first place. I will, in time. But things are in a state of flux right now & I'm frankly terrified to speak too soon.
Gordon.

Gordon, not sure how you got that effect, but it makes Manila look almost apocalyptic. Really draws me in emotionally. Well done. Makes me fell like staying bed in today.

I was trying to imply how I was feeling at the time. In reality the sun was blazing down with hardly a cloud in the sky. There's a lot of smog there though & certain filters allow it to be emphasized, as here. Glad you like it. Gordon.
