Bought an O2 amp off jellofund (Mark)
Excellent communication and recieved the item quickly, well packaged (with excellent macaroni tape(!?)) and in perfect nick, he even threw in a PYST cable so I could use the amp straight away.
This is what forum spirit is about :-)

Aw shucks, thank you for the kind feedback Joe! Yes macaroni Duck Tape of all things. Used to be that when you took the kids to the supermarket you just needed to give the comic, toy & sweet aisles a wide berth. Now the DIY section is off limits too what with the Duck Tape and the Justin Bieber socket sets  |

Thanks a million !
Now to find some time to use and measure them on a few headphones.
Cityscape uptowns in stock, HD650 to try them on and perhaps T50RP, see what they do.

Mark is a real trouper. He acted as a go between for me with Massdrop since I was going to be on holiday at delivery time. Mark collected my headphone, paid the duty and sent them off to me. They arrived the very next day.
What a nice guy.

You guys  Turn my back for 5 minutes and you've got me buying headphones I didn't even know I wanted let alone need!! I'm meant to be scaling things back and although I've come up with some pretty oddball justifications for purchases in the past I'm not sure how I could spin this one... Appreciate the kind words Ian! Talking of spinning stories, I'm sure Sine thought I was pulling a fast one when I said I was taking delivery of some headphones for you....from the look of disbelief on her face I could tell she was waiting for me to follow that up with a "and he said I could borrow them for the next few years" |

Bought a Polaris amp off Mark.
Service well beyond the usual forum seller. Excellent communication, item in great condition, quick dispatch and skillful packaging (no macaroni tape tho).
10/10, would buy stuff off him again.

Well, Mark has done it again!! He went to the trouble of ordering some Spinfits for me and sending them down to the South of UK and included with them, some iem for me to try. It turned out to be a JVC ha-fx850 and as soon as I saw the box, I thought .... these aren't cheap. They are drop dead gorgeous looking and made in wood!!! There was me expecting some cheap little plastic iem to review and it turns out to be something slightly better I think. Mark is such a great guy and the type of guy that you rarely see around; so willing to share his experiences and gear with you, it's unbelievable. While I thank you Mark, the other side to the coin is now I might be tempted to go and look for a pair myself!!!! You temptress. Ian Edit: Jesus Mark ...... you even included pre-injection swabs!!!!!! What a clean man you are. |
