Not a bad deal if you're going away over the hols and want to load up on some tunes. Quality ain't bad on the highest setting. try.deezer.com/summer-gb/After the 3 months is up they'll automatically start taking £9.99 a month unless you cancel before then. You can do so at any time (I did about 30 seconds after sign-up) and you'll still have access to the service until the 3 months is up. The offer is open to both new customers and those who have previously trialled or subscribed, but are not currently doing so. So most folks.

I guess Apple might kick this all off now with their own streaming service which is also free for 3 months.

Yes, things are definitely going to get interesting in the streaming world. It feels like Spotify may finally have a credible challenger.
I'll probably trial it once the Android app is available but disappointed the bitrate is so low. More out of curiosity than anything as I suspect Apple will deliver when it comes to the UI and playlist side of things.
Had hoped they'd also be offering a lossless option as then I'd be semi-tempted to ditch my Qobuz sub, but suspect they're targeting a different demographic for now at least. Despite its flaws the one thing Qobuz does get right is SQ which is my priority when listening at home. Perhaps Spotify are biding their time and will introduce lossless streaming (at no extra cost with luck) if/when they feel the need to improve their feature set vs Apple's.

Apple charges just under 2 pounds per month for an Apple Music Family subscription in India No reason to look much farther with that. Although I also have Wynk Plus (Indian service) that costs another 1+ pound or so per month per user (free with Airtel Infinity plan), because it has recent Bollywood music unlike Apple Music. I don't really use Apple Music. But I use iTunes Match a lot. Just 12 pounds a year per user.

That's cheap. They want £15 a month here for a Family sub!
Even at two quid I wouldn't bite though. Don't want to buy into their ecosystem and the bitrates are surprisingly low.
For me Tidal and Qobuz are the best streaming services at present, especially for use at home with good gear. Not necessarily the best in terms of selection or usability (spotify is hard to beat) but the sound quality (lossless) is second to none. Pricing is less good though at around £20 a month unless you have a promo code.
