Hi all, and thank you very much for the heads up... I have been working like stark raving mad the last days on my last project, I even seem to remember having promised some pictures... Wanna see my most awesomnest build yet (case-wise, that is)?

Metered M3 ? very cool (professional) looking vid ! www.mcfrede.dk/projects/m3_headamp_evolved/m3_headamp_evolved_04.shtmlvery professional looking build ! I would ditch the single supply voltage and omit the 'ground channel' myself but this requires a different power supply. You can alter the frequency point of the bass boost if needed (when you want it changed) To what point did you connect the meters (pre-volume control ?)

I also have a fully built M3 board from a friend who found it in his last spring cleaning and as he already has a B22 he gave it to me. Following Fran's advice I've decided to go dual supply and have already sourced a TPA LCBPS power supply for free to from another friend who had a spare one he didn't need, now I just have to buy a 12 or 15V traffo plus vol pot and in/out connectors.

That's fantastic Frederik. I love the VU meters - I'm very jealous.

The meters are connected to the inputs before the potmeters, I hope I did not do something wrong? So far I am happy with the bass boost, I don't use it that much to be honest, but when I get to it, I will come back and ask for your help like so many times before... You would go for a dual-supply? Why is that if I may ask, and how would one go about that, simply connecting V+ to V and V- to Ground? This is still an option for me, since the Power Supply in its current form is only intermediary. I DID buy a Sigma11 PCB though, but I often have colleagues in the US who are willing to bring back gadgets for me since the shipping rates has skyrocketed. dicky: I too love the VU-meters, quite "retro" I think, takes me back in time...

Hi Frederik, Really nice build. As a belated birthday present I made you a tutorial. Feel free to create a thread if you want to discus it. tutorial: www.mediafire.com/view/?mmu7y2ocx4o52vgThe meters at the input will at least give you something to look at (moving meters) but really are only for aesthetic reasons as they indicate nothing really. If you want to use them as output power indicators they will have to be connected in a different way and most likely you will not see the meters move anymore or only slightly, but will give you an indication if clipping levels are about to be reached. Very VERY nice enclosure... ! It could be in a shop window and nobody would know it was home grown... You would need a Sigma22 for the dual PS amp or 2 of those Sigma11's with a transformer with separated secondary windings.

I would have to disagree with Frans here as everybody knows that adding VU meters makes anything sound better and having a cool fascia like that, all black with chrome knobs, well that will make it sound even better
