They're now delayed due to parts not being delivered. End of September which means into October in the UK.
Oh well. It looks like I'm the only one to be getting one of these anyway!!

Oh .... at last. Someone to compare notes with. I an open headphone that matches with the k553 and is low impedance. I like the k553 and K551 quite a lot and hoping that this will be an open version of the same kind of sound!!

That's a pity but not a huge surprise with the number of orders they were accepting.
I suppose the good thing is you'll be back from your hols by then. Hopefully they'll let you change the delivery address and save a few quid in postage.

Yes, I'll be back by then Mark. Thanks ever so much for offering to be a Post Office for me. All I have to do is change the shipping address before they send it off.
I must admit, I'm still very curious about these.

That's no bother Ian.
Hopefully they will be worth the wait and you're pleased with them - here's hoping there are no further delays!

Yup that would be useful!
Recently received a pair of HE-400s which is their cheapest planar. Build quality and materials not really downgraded much from the HE-560.
Imagine the HE-350 will likely be comparable drivers / cable aside. So compared to HE-560:
- cheaper (non-Focus) pads - no s***ty veneer on cups - same outer metal grills & retaining rings (just at poorly fitted) - same metal headband - same or very similar cushioned headpad - similar but not so precise headband adjustment mechanism
Few compromises really so think the extra few hundred pounds buys you better drivers (not necessarily better matched though), better cable & a fancier box. Which does make the build quality / finish / QC of the HE-560 a bit of a joke when it costs £650....but fortunately they sound great.
HE-400s is no slouch either. Especially after ditching stock pads (bass is very rolled off) for HM5 angled pleathers which make the bass much better, but it sounds more like dynamic bass to me. A damn site easier to drive than the HE-560 too!

I fancied and HE560 myself at one time but because of this nonsense with the HE1000 I've kind of gone off the firm. I didn't like the build quality of the 560 either though. I guess I should really get over it but I can't forget what went on with that silly release of their headphone.
This he350 looks okay although I have suspicions that the strap mechanism might not be as good as I would hope. It's only a cheapie anyway so I'm not too bothered to be honest. Just want to get a feel for the build of these headphones and the kind of sound that they designed with them.
I hope that the release date doesn't jump from the end of September to the end of November or something because it will be Christmas before I see the blooming things!!

HE 560 plot from Tyll but detilted. Makes more sense now. Filter for Kameleon is in the works. slight subbass boost and treble peak removal. I think part of the treble peak is caused by Tylls measurement rig (not compensated well) so it probably isn't +10dB but much smaller Almost all of his plots show a peak there.

The HM5 pads are a bit of a tight fit but with some gentle manipulation (rings can get damaged if too forceful) they will strectch over the HFM retaining rings.

Despite seeming like polar opposites those MSR7 seem to have mucked up your perceptions nearly as much as the NH! Good news about the HE-350. Here's hoping they've been worth the wait.
