Both in good nick. Just the amp. I never kept all the bits like rubber bands and linking connector. £50 ea including post if anyone would like a decent portable amp. Both together if you're nuts like me.... £90 E12 is slightly more powerful (black) but with that comes slightly more noise (measured not heard) than the 12a which is gun metal. I have an a5 now. E12a

Just curious, how do you find the sq between the A5 and the E12a? They're basically are the same hardware, IIRC (just more power for the A5). Got the e12a myself, great little amp. Only problem I have is stiction on the vol. knob

The A5 is a fraction less warm, I think and just a tiny bit cleaner sounding. Noise floor is astoundingly low. I really like the A5 a lot and before that, the e12a which has a lower noise floor, but less power than the E12.
The e12 has more power and more noise. E12a less power. Slightly less warm sound and less noise. A5 - no noise and almost same power as e12.
It's a lovely amp actually.
Talking in minutia .....
a5>e12a>e12 as far as quality. a12>a5>e12a in terms of power. a5>e12=e12a in terms of build. (Although the a5 does have better sockets and bigger vol pot)
If buying new, I would definitely buy the a5 by choice.
