I hope there aren't any fakes tbh Ian. Headphoniaks do have an eta up for the next batch (26th Feb) but for some reason the language needs to be set to Spanish in order for it to display.

We'll see as far as Amazon goes Mark. They've been completely removed now which is a bit odd, since they still sell the Takstar microphones.
The recent activity regarding these headphones on HF is quite strange. Frans is now biased as a result of working in the industry!!
Blimey ... fanboyz alert big time!!
Someone is asking about swapping one so maybe I'll try a swap with him and hear what this guy raving about .....
I can't believe how things are said about others on the internet that are just wrong and it doesn't get challenged.
I asked him to come on here but he won't. I don't blame him though.

I find it funny in his last post he asks if there are any new impressions. Seriously, why would anybody want to post anything since any opinions that aren't the exact same as his are immediately dismissed as wrong or in need of debunking. The fact he felt the need to debunk (his words) the review Frans wrote speaks more about his agenda than anything else. Maybe he isn't affiliated with Takstar or any sellers, but that thread is so biassed ATM there is no way I would ever consider steering anyone interested in the Pro82 into reading it. For what it's worth, he may as well lock it and call it an "adoration thread" since I would hardly call anything on there discussion anymore. (I'd actually mention this on his thread except I'd just be branded an anti-Takstar goon )

It is a strange thread but I'm not going to watch someone dish dirt out and do nothing. You guys don't realise - being a DIYAH member gets you insurance!! He's resorted to insults now but I'll post his review here so that we can give him the same treatment. Perhaps some of the more sensible members will join us here. I thought Frank's review was very good. I got the impression that it's good value but has flaws. (Like most headphones) Big deal. The recent statements by that bloke were just wrong and something in me just snaps when I see that kind of thing. I find it too difficult to ignore.

It's not a strange thread per se. More a case of one indvidual's influence completely tainting it. Kind of ironic as it's probably at the point where the OP is likely putting more people off the P82 than anybody posting anything remotely critical could ever do (heck, even a 4* AE rating doesn't go unnoticed). The nastiness and the misguided accusations is frankly uncalled for tbh and clearly those antics have now begun to sour the experience for others, much like it did for me. Soon he'll need to start responding to his own appeals for new impressions In all honesty it might be best for all if he took some time away from the thread to reassess what's important in life and gain a sense of persepective (material objects aren't worth getting hot & bothered about). Appreciate he might see the thread as his baby, which I can understand, but sometimes you need to give your kids the freedom to stand on their own two feet and take their own path in life. In other words don't smother them. Anyway, way more than enough time wasted on this nonsense already. Focus should be squarely on the P82 and if people want to talk openly about it, without petty squabbling or fear of being rounded on, then this is a pretty good place to do so. Good friendly bunch here who without fail treat one another with respect and good humour, even if we don't always agree on things.

When the guy hates me, and what I do, that's fine with me. There are more of those around, he is not alone.
A headphone is THE most 'personal' audio component around. Tastes differ, that's why there are so many different sounding headphones around and most sell well and each has their fan base.
He loves his Pro 82's which is his personal opinion and I am fine with that. Glad he found his headphone audio heaven.
It is funny to read what my 'alterior and secret motives' are though. Put a smile on my face...

Actually Frans, that made me smile as well. He hasn't a clue what he's talking about as far as the accusations go. He really lost respect after spouting that nonsense.
I'm not one to sit back and let these people have free reign to say whatever they like, as you know!! Doesn't bother me at all.
The Pro82 sounds like it's good value since it is being sold in UK at Portapro prices on Ebay so that might be a fair comparison. I wonder why so cheap at around £46 though?
This Ben person has dominated the thread so I did the same.
I loved the bit where he claimed that you were running it down in order to sell Kameleons. That was a lovely touch. I actually laughed when I saw that!!!
I must buy a pro82 and then order a Kameleon from you .... Like you sell them?

He claimed I state 'G1217 amps' fix headphones.
There is no filter for the PRO82 which can be because of a few reasons:
1: I did not measure one before so could not design a filter. 2: The headphone is so cheap I do not see the point in buying an expensive filter for it. 3: It does not need 'fixing' (Ben will choose that one) 4: I do not feel tonal balance needs much fixing 5: It can't be fixed with the filters than can be created. 6: A filter can't fix the lack of 'finer nuances' 7: should I go on ?
In any case the fact that I did not make a filter for it 'yet' is undermining my financial gain and thus must trash PRO82. Or... it is a conspiracy and one day in the near future will get filthy rich when I launch an amp that 'fixes' what does not need fixing in the PRO82.
In any case ... I am screwed.

This time next year, you and Jeremy will be millionaires. Or is it millioneuroairs? It's a good job I'm not a fish. I'd be hooked every time the bait goes out. I hate how it's so easy for people to blurt out completely made up nonsense about gear and not be challenged. Mind you, he probably thinks the same about your review!!! Blimey ..... I'm getting PM's thanking me now!!!! Obviously quite a few others are fed up with this character.

Geee... internet is full of entertainment. If only I had more time ;-) Seriously guys, I'm glad someone can keep calm and be objective as much as possible. It's THE driving force for the next millenium. I'm absolutely sure it matter a lot. I admit I enjoy Pro 82, it's MY sound favor right now (for now) and cheap as well. And I have a luxury of swapping DT-1350, MDR-1A and Pro 82 any time. Enjoy all of them in their own ways. At the end, it's the music they provide to me and this matters, right? So my first and last post here -- keep your text quality as high as possible!

Absolutely right. If you enjoy them then they're perfectly good enough. I'll have a pair to try soon so at least that thread boosted sales by one. Bye.
