I love Blues and it's great fun to play.
Peter was a neighbour of mind in Oxted with a lovely collection of guitars on his walls in his house. Often saw him in the supermarket with his funny hat on.
Very nice guy who went through the mill and lost a great deal of responsibility for his own money following his problems.
Now I live in the middle of nowhere, so just have myself as a neighbour and this guy called Richard Stilgoe who was a piano player and a composer. He also runs a charity school in Godstone for disabled people in one of his previous homes.

Peter Green had terrible problems with depression. It was funny seeing him in the supermarket. I didn't think people like him eat anything!!

He still plays. He's been busy with the Splinter Group so still capable of working. Many financial controls were taken away from him for a while since he was so bad. I like the group a lot actually.
He's getting on now though.

I've got PGSG's 'Splinter Group', 'Destiny Road' and a couple of his tribute to Robert Johnson albums, 'Hotfoot Powder' and 'The Robert Johnson Songbook'. A superb guitarist who always seems to play with a style which is more to do with feeling and emotion than with flashy licks and runs. Another thing which should be of interest to members here are that his later more recent albums are all recorded with amazing quality. Some are HDCD. P.S. - Listening to Japan's 'Alien' from the album 'The Other Side of Life' right now,Jeez, could Mick Karn play a bass or what!!

You are making me laugh Chong!!! The thought of Death Metal around my Mum is quite 'Monty Python' like!! (Old English weird comedy)
Hard enough for her to listen to me playing tbh.
Julio Inglesas was her major vice!!! (Don't laugh - she couldn't help herself) Also that old Greek singer who used to wear oversize vests... I can't even remember his name, but for a big guy, he had a very high voice.

That's the one! In fact, I'll have a look at those songs and do one of them live at the funeral I think. (If I'm able to) '
