Bose have just introduced their new noise cancelling headphones - the 700. They look very sleek and smart and have 11 levels of noise cancelling along with other features. I am sure they will be a great headphone, but sadly out of my reach at £350 LINK: Link

I still use my old Sony NC headphones. Fantastic on airplanes and knock tv sound into oblivion when the other two are watching something ‘boring’!

I think Bose and Sennheiser are in competition with each other Ian? Sennheiser have also brought out a £350 pair of noise cancelling headphones, it would be nice to get a comparrison of the two? They probably are Chris.
Although NC works really well in the front room with the TV and planes, it does add a little noise to the music as well. Mind you, the surrounding noise blots that out most of the time.
Trouble is though, that it’s so damned convenient!!! I use the Sonys quite a lot actually. Had them for a few years now.
I have been trying out some little wireless earbuds recently. (As well as some Vmodas) Cheap as anything and they are really useable as far as convenience goes. When they run out of power or in between listens, you stick them in a portable charging case and your soon ready to go again. The technology is amazing when you see the size of them and how long they go for.
With nc headphones, the technology has been improving as well and getting the two technologies together is fantastic; except if you’re walking outside. You are absolutely distracted from your surroundings and they could be deadly!
I often miss the door or phone because of my headphones. You just forget that you’re wearing wireless and noise cancelling headphones entirely.....
