Blimey, another corker.
£90. Tiny. (For some, I suspect too tiny) takes 256gB card. Bluetooth. Digital out.
It’s like a bells and whistles cracker toy. And the amazing bit is that it drives my 250 Ohm Beyer DT1990 and DT770. Amazing. You look at this thing and think, there’s no way such a tiny thing can produce that kind of volume.
Plus the fact that the sound is also very good.
Never ever thought of trying a Shanling before. Wish I had.
They’re really good value and a better alternative to those little Sandisk things of old. Way more power and nicer interface.
I might delve into a higher model......

Sweet little unit. The only thing that stopped me from getting one is my stubby, clumsy fingers.
I hear the M2x and M5x are pretty nice as well. Sound wise I can't complain about my M2s. The firmware maybe is another story, but Shanling is writing their own software now (as opposed to contracting it out to Hiby) and the new devices are apparently much better for it.

The thing that stopped me is the small display. Otherwise a fun player and an improvement over the Sandisk for sure.

The output power is amazing. The DT770 looks daft with it hanging on the wire! Question is .... am I brave enough to walk down the street with the DT770 on my head?
