Hi I'm not a complete audiophile, but would like a headphone, that sounds good in my ears :-) but not willing to pay in HD 600 class. The HD 599 is on sale, so considering this. I'm am however scared of the reviews saying it reveals all bad audio sources. I don't have much high quality music yet, and often listen to Spotify (on the highest setting in Premium). I use an ifi Zen DAC (recently acquired). So wonder whether there is a filter mod (no one was found on the page for all various the filters) that's makes this headset a bit more "not complete audiophile" friendly? Also looked at HD 560S, but this is probably too clinical to me.
br Lars (excuses for questions might be noob!)

HD599 is a bit overly warm/bassy but can be EQ'ed flatter. HD560S can also be EQ'ed to be less 'forward' which helps.
The HD560S is a better driver and more tonally correct.
You could also consider the DT880. The later ones are much warmer sounding (direction of HD599)

Thanks for the advice. My head is close to exploding figuring out what i shall buy, and don't have a shop nearby where i can listen to various ones.
Will the 250 ohm version work well with my ifi Zen DAC, or shall i go for the 32 ohm?

Zen DAC should play it loud enough without audible distortion
