I thought I would do a quick review of these headphones now that I have had them for some time.
These have been my go to headphones over my Beyerdynamic DT770 and Philips Uptown Citiscape SHL5905, because I really like the sound from them over the other headphones, they are very clear and neutral sounding with a good non flabby bass and non tiring treble.
I can listen straight from my mobile phone but prefer to listen through my mobile phone via my Kameleon 2 with a flat gain filter giving me greater control over the volume on different tracks. I sometimes listen from my Cambridge Stream Magic 6 via my Kameleon 2 again for more control over the volume.
This is the first pair of headphones I have owned with a dual entry cable, which I thought I would hate but the cable does not bother me in fact I prefer it to a single entry cable nowadays.
The very supple cable is of good quality as are the 2 push locking connectors and 3.5 jack, it is not microphonic to my cloth ears and the 1.3mtr length is perfect for my listening.
The headband is comfortable and I like the adjustable metal part with clear levels on them. The pads are an absolute doddle to replace with a quarter of a turn twist and they are off, which was very convenient recently when on my last listen I could hear a slight buzzing sound on some recordings. Pads off in 10 seconds - found the 4 screws that hold the drivers in place and with half a turn tighten on all eight screws the problem was solved. The pads are also very comfortable even though they are pleather, with plenty of room for my ears and create a good seal keeping out the ambient noise very well.
Overall an excellent headphone for the £55 they cost me and I would highly recommended them as a good starter headphone for anybody on a budget.
