I know that if I just go missing, some of you will think I've had a heart attack after my recent bouts of panic attacks!!!
The truth is since Christmas, I haven't been right and in April at the BBC, I was really quite bad and just ignored signs of something amiss. Wasn't really right and people said I looked like a miserable bugger. (I was) Then recently with Mum and work pressure, it all came to a head with me actually dropping like a stone.
Everything is now well under control thanks to the wonders of drugs and the recent things have been confirmed as plain panic attacks, possibly brought on by my Mum's death. (and other nonsense going on) I do actually get nervous performing too. It's just not a normal job.
Blood pressure is more under control now, but for the past week I've been in training for the next what was originally going to be a month but I've managed the contract down to 3 weeks, although the schedules have been shifted a bit so I'm doing quite a bit for my money!!
Well, the training has involved some slightly nice girl physically moving my legs for me in order to try and get me to 'dance'. I can't think of anything more daft than a 59 year old boogeyin' on down, but the exercise has been good for me I guess and we had the final run through this morning. We were due a 'fixing' session this afternoon but I actually did it right (apparently) so I'm free now and have manage to book a slot this afternoon rather than tomorrow. So I'm flying a day early.
So for three weeks (and maybe a bit) my house is left to the maids while I go gallavanting in discos for tourists.
Felt it best to let you all know in case anyone starts thinking he's dropped. That's my summer gone.
Please don't worry; I'm fine. Been checked (for legal reasons too) and declared fit to boogey slowly.
Have a good August. Keep writing and don't let the place stagnate!!
Frans - amp and headphone sent and on its way!! I did it. I'll send you a card.
Cheers ...........
