I have tried Panasonic headphones before and not been that bothered to be honest.
This one looks like something out of the 80's. Very retro looking. A bit shiny but listening to one today pulled out a surprise. It was a demo headphone but it was such a pleasant surprise, I ordered one. The shop had none in stock.
They retail at around £32 and IMO are brilliant value. Could be a nice one to mod and have a play with.
When I get one here, I'll do a little write up.
Has anyone else got one of these?

This is quite funny!! I've been listening to them most of today. They are seriously good sounding!! They look a bit crappy, since they are a silly cheap headphone. I think around £30. I really like them.
Looking at the bucket cans shape, you'd expect massive colourations. Its worst trait is perhaps the big hearted bass. It's raised but doesn't dominate. Treble doesn't sting and is nicely in balance with the rest.
It even reacts to amping (Using the O2).
It's cheaply made. No one is going to nick it based on looks. But the sound .........
Really well balanced. I am very surprised and would recommend these to take to anywhere dodgy where there's a chance of someone pinching them.
I prefer them to the Portpro and they have a very nice bass slam. What a surprise.
Frans' mk 3 Superlux filter brings the bass down, but it also takes the treble which this headphone does seem to need.
40 ohms impedance. 99db/mW. 7 - 22kHz.

Ian, I bought a pair back in 2010 and really liked them for what they were. I said this about them - "Someone mentions using them with a Sansa clip and a Cmoy, which is how I'm running them and they're definitely a lot of fun. Bit of a U-shaped SQ curve but work well with my home made Cmoy (same one as JohnnyBlue uses - Banzai, I think, great little amp by the way"
And this - "They're not particularly 'accurate', or smooth, or balanced, but boy, they really are a load of fun, aren't they"
IIRC Miguel was the only other person I knew of who used a pair, and he really liked his pair as well. Mine were white with a cream leather headband, and the only thing I didn't like about them was the cheap vinyl on the pads, plus the pads were a bit small for my giant lugs. I guess they're actually 'on-ears', as the capsules are really quite small. White Panasonic RP-HTX7BTW, there is a lot of modding info out there about them. On another note - these are good way out of proportion to their cost , seriously big bang-per-buck. In Ears

My ears go inside the cups, although it's a tight fit. Then you get a great seal.
I noticed people saying they have no bass, but once sealed, it is massive with great impact. C Funnily enough, I'm not finding the treble over emphasised. In fact very smooth. I like the top. Bass is big like the Portapro.
I'm listening to Jon Lord's studio version of Concerto for Orchestra since you're asking the headphone to reproduce orchestral as well as rock. It has the hairs on my arms raised. Excellent impact.
They really snap into focus at higher volumes as well.
Seems way too good for a headphone that I think is around £30. I didn't have to buy them.
I really do like them though. I agree, the pads are hard, but they do seal around my ears. If you get the tops of your lugs in, they seal. When I put them on top of my ears by moving them slightly, the bass goes and the timbre of the headphone is destroyed, which would account for some people saying it has no bass. The pads won't seal around the bumpy parts of your ears.
As usual with these things, it's the fit. Fabulous for the price and if they looked more luxurious, I reckon they'd go for a lot more. The retro look could put people off but for me, that's great!!
