I read an interesting artical by Tyll concerning these tips, since I already have some. He was describing a reason why some may find them making earbuds sund dull so I tested it out and I think he may be correct.
If you don't know what they are, they are tips made from memory foam which expand inside your ear in order to get a good seal. I use them on my Senn CX400 II buds.
When you roll the buds up to put them in the ear, the front section can be pushed quite a way forward, so when they go into the ear canal, the front closes down the front of the tips. I tried this and it does dull them down, but pulling them very slightly out of your ear again instantly brightens them up, so he may have a point.
I get a really good seal with these tips and the effect on some buds is to really beef up the bass. Not only that, but they stay put better in your ears. In fact, the seal is pretty much as good as the custom fits that I have on my ie8's.
They are expensive, I see at £19.99 for three, but they actually do work pretty well.

I use Comply Tips with my Shure and TDK iems, they are by far the most comfortable tips I have tried. It kinda "tames" the high frequencies for me compared to silicone tips.

Tyll tries to explain the loss in the treble in his article, saying that the ends get compressed inside some peoples' ears. He suggests compressing the ends inwards.
I don't think I get a roll off with mine, but they are seriously comfortable with an excellent seal that actually matches my custom moulds for the Senn ie8.
