Boris has released a new album with a singer called Malia.
It's nice album. Laid back with elements of YELLO there without a doubt. It has some similarities with the last YELLO album, Touch without Dieter. Some very similar synth sounds and quite jazzy in feel.
Interesting that Boris' album is called 'Convergence' and Dieter's new one is called, 'Out of Chaos'. I hope they're not trying to tell us something!! In fact, if you listen to both albums, you hear two distinct elements of YELLO split apart from each other. Dieter's humour and rhythmic vitality are there in his chaos album whereas Boris has kind of retained the Sound of a Touch without the rhythmic stuff. Dieter is such a big character and his album really shows it big time. It's a real piece of fun.
It's very strange to hear the YELLO sound divided between the two of them.
I'd like to see Boris do the next Bond film titles.

I'd like to see Dieter play the next Bond villain. I struggle to appreciate Dieters solo effort to be honest. Without Boris' backgrounds it's just sounds shouty and indulgent. I like the way Convergence is mastered with so much care. That seems a rarity these days.

Can you heart the sound of Youch in his album? To me it's pretty strong. Then again, Dieter is the kind of guy who turns up, records and doesn't really enjoy 'polishing' afterwards. He's an 'as is' kind of guy.
I like his humour and I also like Yhe Boris sound. It's strange because I'm hearing YELLO split into two distinct sounds.

Aye, I hear Touch. I also hear some of Baby's smoothness. Malia has a velvety voice eh? Lovely.
