There are some pretty good deals on Grados out at the moment because of the new 'e' series. If you want one, you need to be quick though.
Richer Sounds are doing the old sr325i at £199 and the others are reduced as well. Only a few left now though. Apart from that, there are some Amazon 'I' series going but not with as great a reduction as Richer Sounds.
Having heard all three versions of most, I don't find differences that massive if I'm honest, so an sr225i cheap would be a nice buy if you like the Grado sound. (And can wear bowls)
They are becoming more difficult to find though.
For me, the sr225i is perhaps best value for sound. Sr60 is a bit more congested than others. 125 isn't at all bad. 325 is quite toppy but rather expensive and heavy on your ears with. The metal cups but I don't mind the 225 at all.

I've been going through my Grados using the Ember and Polaris and have found that the sound differences are quite pronounced with different settings on them both.
The Ember sounds better (to my ears) on 120 ohms output impedance, which is pretty high for a 32 ohm headphone. The bass seems more solid and treble has less clatter. In fact they sound more beefy this way.
The Polaris has a lighter touch on zero ohms output impedance and seems less harsh than the Ember. (Could be my tube) but it is way more refined sounding. Maybe less tube distortions are more noticeable on Grados? (Or my tube is tired?)
Using both on low gain. I think I prefer the relatively cleaner Polaris sound with them all but 120 output impedance makes them sound pretty beefy to say the least!! It's really worth a try with Grado headphones if you have either of these amps.

Measurements of Rabbit's GRado SR125. And below the CSD: These aren't my type of headphones. They do have some good qualities but the lack of body and sharp treble aren't my thing. They do improve in the bass area when driven from high output R amplifiers. More information and findings is found HERE

I prefer 120 ohms output impedance with all of them. Pity that deep bass is missing. Flat pads warms them up quite a lot.
