Whatever next??!! Was in Morrison's (4th largest supermarket chain in UK for anyone living elsewhere) this morning looking at their cheap CDs (60s collections etc ) and was amazed to find them selling guaranteed quality 'pre-loved' (i.e. second hand)) CDs - mostly recent stuff of no interest to me but surely this is another nail in the coffin of original CDs? I reckon cd's will fade away with time, Dave. They're only a storage medium so big home daps may appear. Faster access and the possibility of higher resolution, at a price perhaps.
There is one current type that I've seen, made by Brennan although I don't know what the quality of them is like.
With cheaper storage, then there's perhaps a greater likelihood of better quality files being made available. Depends on sales potential, I guess.
Mind you, books are going the same way as well with ereaders.I have over 300 books on a single Kindle!!

The physical media is doom including Bluray. Download legally or illegally is the future. That's the cheapest way with many costs cut including the middlemen. So profit maximised as in the maxim maximise profit for all shareholders of the corporate world.
