You can read about a previous version of the DIYINHK USB adapter here: hifiduino.wordpress.com/2014/01/24/diyinhk-isolated-xmos-usb-interface/IMO he makes very decent stuff both technically and quality wise at very reasonable. If I'm honest I'll admit I have a soft spot for the Amanero. For a time it was the best in each possible way but the designer/maker has had serious health problems the last two years and not only some competitors have taken the lead but also support has suffered considerably. That us why I'm not recommending it as strongly as I used to. I still think it is fantastic and has unique features like slave mode or I2C command programming but.... no isolator on the board, no native DSD Linux drivers, no 704.8/768KHz PCM, no 'old' PCM formats, etc. Which other more up to date rivals can offer.

Thanks Javier. I'll go ahead and read the article for info. I plan on ordering everything in the next couple of days. I expect my build will be similar the the following in slightly bigger enclosure, possibly shielded transformers, and whatever else you recommend. Attachments:

I have ordered everything I think will need including everything listed in the Buffalo III/IIISE DAC Integration Guide BOM for stereo mode DAC (Ivy III I/V output stage), the DIYINHK Isolated XMOS DSD DXD 384kHz high-quality USB to I2S/DSD PCB with ultralow noise regulator, and selected parts from the Integration Guide Extended BOM.
I joined the local retirement community metal shop yesterday and will probably make a temporary enclosure/platform in the next few days. they also have the equipment required to make a high quality permanent enclosure but I'm not sure I will be able to take the required classes in the time I have available this winter.
Javier, I expect the enclosure will be grounded. Are the DAC boards grounded to the enclosure? I have not noticed this in any of the photographs I have seen.
EDIT: It appears I will get the order from Twisted Pear tomorrow. I expect I may have some questions after I study the PCBs and the included supplies.
