Here's a Sparrowhawk we found in our back garden, eying up the hen coop. Cheeky bugger! Here's a picture clue to the next image. What kind of bird eats like this? Here you go. A nesting pair of Ospreys. These birds are beautiful but it's difficult to get up close to them for a better picture. In flight.. This is Murdo, our newest addition to the family. He's a 7 month old Skye Terrier.. These next photo's aren't of the best quality I'm afraid. I said above that it's hard to get close to Ospreys? Well, that's a piece of cake compared to these guys. These are White-tailed Eagles, or Sea Eagles as they're more commonly known. We're so lucky to have these guys as neighbours. This is a nesting pair of adults & the third bird is a Buzzard. That should give you some idea of scale. The Eagles have a wingspan of 8'6"! Green Zero, up close & personal..

Great pics Gordon. We get the odd visit from a sparrow hawk. Until we moved here I hadn't realised just quite how small they are....a mere snack for a sea eagle judging by those wingspans! Murdo's a handsome wee fella

For some reason photo's of Angus always seem to turn out better than any of our other dogs.. Here's Angus with his big sister, Cody. The whirling dervishes..

Here's a couple of shots I got tonight of an adult male Kestrel. There was actually a group of five in total.
