I have a D2000 as well. I think the D2000 is better but the D600 has this really big bass. It's over lively down there, but very impressive sounding. I really like it for films because it gives the impression that a sub woofer is connected. It's not a bad headphone at all, but the D2000 is perhaps a bit more hi fi. Interestingly, I often go between the D2000 and TH900. Lots of similarity and shows just what a good buy the D2000 was. I wish Denon would return to the old D series. Now, I'd be more tempted by the D5000 or D7000. I like the D600 though. It's a big, loose fitting headphone with very soft pads. Warm, comfy sound with a ton of bass kick! Umm, more bass... I like bass :-P But honestly, I am not sure I can handle more amount than the D2000 give me! My issue with my D2000 is in the arguably slightly thin midrange. ...and the cloth around the cable is falling apart, I wonder if I can change it somehow.

Grab that HD650 now ! that price is insanely low. Intend to write an interesting article about HD650 and some of the popular mods. There are some interesting findings that I need to digest. did you ever write the article, Frans?
