This guy is so cool, he has kd Lang, Bonnie Raitt, Jennifer Warnes, and former 'Eagles' J.D. Souther and Jackson Browne as backing singers!!
His band include Tom Waits, Bruce Springsteen, Elvis Costello and T-Bone Burnett!!
The 'Sub-Zero' Mr. Orbison . . .

Hi Jeff,
quickly passing by...
WRT to fretless bass, you should check out Sheila Jordan's `I've Grown Accustomed to the BassĀ“, pure duets with Cameron Brown on bass. You might like it.
Cheers, Marc

I remember buying "Silk Degrees" by Boz Scaggs and loving 'Lido Shuffle'. Of course none of my heavy metal mates would let it on their turntables I only bought that one album at the time. Don't know why I didn't follow him after that cos I really liked that album. Anyway, a few years ago, I got back into his music. Here's a great video (obviously transferred from vhs), although not in the best condition, it shows what great music he was producing more than ten years ago.

Hi Jeff, Now you're talking my language!! I particularly like 'Ooby-Dooby' - that instrumental bit in the middle I could listen to indefinitely - one of my better purchases. Dave.

Almost everyone has heard of Level 42, but what most people don't realise is that originally they were a highly respected jazz-funk band, showing exceptional musicianship. Check out their first two albums, Level 42, and The Pursuit Of Accidents, if you like what you hear . . .

Someone else who is thought of by many as a romantic crooner/bedroom soul guy because of singles like "Give Me The Night" and "Love X Love", but who is actually an acclaimed jazz guitarist who has worked with people like Quincy Jones and Miles Davis . . .

Madrigal music is playing - Voices can faintly be heard, "Please leave this patient undisturbed."
