In this case the microphonics are due to the design of the tube. The long thin direct heated cathode is suspended over quite a distance.
In 'normal' tubes it is not so much the cathode which is sensitive toi vibration but the grid. Frame grid tubes, like the ECC88 and derivatives, where the grid wire is tightly wound on a sturdy frame are less sensitive to this.
Normal tubes can range from quite insensitive to quite sensitive for microphonics depending on how they are built. But indeed tubes often become more microphonic when they are tired.
When using a HD6x0 background noise usually isn't a problem.

Yes, it was low impedance headphones that showed everything in the noise department more.

The tube and the PCB finally came yesterday and I couldn't help but start soldering after midnight I haven't done anything DIY since I was in sixth grade (24 years ago), so I was kind of nervous... I was ready with the soldering after two hours: Tube glowing in the dark: The NuHybrid put next to my solid-state discrete headphone amp: Pictures don't work for me....

Well I guess he means he can't see them. I did when I looked at the office but now can't see them. At least not the latest ones as can be seen in the quote.

With the Sherpac case (the one in the pcitures) there's no top case, the PCB is just screwed on top of the bottom part of the case, so in some ways it is always exposed and beautiful But I have already started looking for plexiglass cutting services here in Bulgaria, seems there are plenty and besides laser cutting they also offer engraving, so when I have some time I'd definitely draw the stuff. Never worked with vector drawing software though. Any recommendation for a free vector drawing software for stuff like that? Preferably for macOS.

Try Inkscape. Or, if you're an internet sailor, go directly to Adobe Illustrator. Engraving is not that simple. I'm yet to find a material and cutting services that could manage the G1217 quality of engraving. Check out my last post here: diyah.boards.net/thread/1377/kameleon-line-filter?page=2Engraving looks kind of like 3d print, a bit melted and rough. G1217's engravings look like silkscreen print.
