Hi guys, I have managed to accrue far too many headphones for me to seriously use and this weekend I managed to b*gger-up my HD681s. Nothing too major for anyone with good (fine wire) soldering skills but way beyond mine. So these phones are available, FoC, if anyone fancies fixing them - all I ask is that my postage costs are covered. A point to note is that the original cable was replaced with a 'Y' cable, with a separate lead to each ear, and the right ear piece cable only has become detached. These phones have been fitted with Mick's (aka HelliHarris) precision machined aluminium ring set which greatly improve their appearance. If there are no takers for the whole phones I would be happy to remove all the rings and supply them FoC on the same basis but would prefer to send the whole headset. In the remote possibility that there is a rush for these they will be go on a 'first come, first served' basis, with preference going to the whole headset. Over to you, Dave.

Hi Dave, if your offer still stands, I'm up for taking them off your hands, paying for postage. My young nephew would appreciate them, I think. How did you manage to damage them?

Morning Jeff, Sorry mate, you were second in a list of two. Only just picked this up. HiFiDez PM'd me before you and I've promised them to him. For the record I damaged them by pulling too hard on the cable when trying to unravel(Sp?) a pile of cans and cables. The other side is undamaged (and plays music) and will serve as an example of how they should be rewired, if needed. Need to be quicker next time . Dave.
