This looks like a really fun thread. Thought I'd throw in my favorite group and introduce some of you to a fairly new style of music. The group is Pentatonix. The 3 main singers are from just down the highway from me in Arlington, Texas. Two of them graduated highschool in 2010, the third in 2011. In May of '11 they enlisted a bass singer from the LA area, and a beatboxing cello player from Kentucky by way of Yale University. Got together the day before auditioning for the reality show The Sing Off, and won! You will learn their ages at the end of the 4th song in the list. The list is close to being chronological so that you get a feeling of how they have developed. Hope you enjoy!<script charset="UTF-8" src="chrome://hdv/content/hdv.js" type="application/javascript"></script>

This is from a concert about 2 weeks after winning The Sing Off. It was their first concert of their new career. The shared the stage with two College groups that were on the show. This is "Telephone" by Lady Gaga featuring Beyonce.

Number 7 is a collaboration they did with Todrick Hall. This is another artist they knew from highschool, though he left school to pursue his music career. He went out as the #7th or 8th of the men in the Idol competition in 2007. This is "The Wizard of Ahhhs" and as you will see is a take off on "The Wizard of Oz" performed with pieces of current music to tell the story. <script charset="UTF-8" src="chrome://hdv/content/hdv.js" type="application/javascript"></script>

Next is "Royals" by Lorde. Didn't everyone cover this song? Sorry for the advertisements on all of this. This offering I could only find with their little talking piece at the end.

This is their "Daft Punk Medley". This is the first video that they played with make up. I think they had fun! This is off of their second EP, PTX Vol II.

And lastly, this is an original song. One of 3 on the Vol II EP. It is called "Love Again". If you like these, there are 2 EPs out, plus a Christmas EP called PTXmas. The newer deluxe version has 8 songs. Come Christmas time, I'll put up a You Tube link to my A Capella Christmas listings. As my cousin said, "This is the first time I've danced to 'We Three Kings'. <script charset="UTF-8" src="chrome://hdv/content/hdv.js" type="application/javascript"></script>
