I guess this is aimed mainly at Javier but don't let that stop anyone else contributing . A few days ago I received an e-mail, supposedly from foobar, advising me that a new version was available. IIRC it was probably v15,**. At the next opportunity I clicked on the 'Search for foobar updates' button only to be told that no new updates were available. Any ideas what might be going on? Dave.

www.foobar2000.org/Are you on their mailing list for updates ? I would be careful downloading things from supplied links though.

Foobar's team has never sent emails to its user base. AFAIK no manufacturer sends that type if emails. Someone has tried to trick you into DL'ing some virus, malware or some other harmful app.

Hi all, I usually err on the side of caution when in doubt so I did not take it any further. Thanks for your inputs. Dave.
