The Amazing Wilf (Dave) now has his own label and I'm really pleased to see that he's putting out some really unusual music on it.
Bloody Marvels is the name of the album and it is REALLY unusual. It is way more experimental with prog rock roots. No big drum stuff at all. A challenging listen. Rhythmically complex and harmonically all over the place. It's not the kind of thing you can put on in the background. It demands attention and that's what I really like about it.
Rhythms are quite complex and it immediately got my attention after the first opening growl.
This may not be everyones' cup of tea. It reminds me of King Crimson in terms of rhythms and patterns that happen. It's not as electronic but is quite aggressive and direct.
Well done Wilf for having the guts to put it out. You are going to have one helluva label if you keep this up. I know you read here - come on in. Give yourself another name if you like. Bring the wonderful Guy Manning in with you!! I'd love to see you and Guy around.
