The first one is marvellous. But I like also the second one. Have you made the pictures in Scotland? I never was in Scotland, but what I've seen from the landscape on pictures is quite impressive. Scotland is certainly on my wish list for holidays.

Yeah Christian, those are both of Scotland. I guess it is a beautiful place. You're in Switzerland though so I don't need to tell you about mountains.

Beautiful shots Gordon.
The colours in the first pic are gorgeous.Something quite foreboding about that sky.
The second would look fantastic printed off & framed.
Sometimes easy to forget what a beautiful country we live in.

Sometimes easy to forget what a beautiful country we live in. Just a normal lunchtime in a Scottish garden!! I'll need to put up some pictures of the view where we are now. Gorgeous. Last night I fired up the chiminea & we sat out 'til dark. Our house is on the side of a hill and looks out across a wee loch. There's deer all around and even Ospreys fishing. Binoculars are a must.

We have Ospreys fly over during migration occasionally. There was a red kite up over the house yesterday and a buzzard got beat up by the crows. What a wimp. He nearly came down.
I look out onto the North Downs and on a good day, can see the Southe Downs north of Brighton.
I've been outin the garden all week this week. It's been hot down here. Rain today for first time in quite a while.
Decided to fly down to Cornwall and then fly across to Scilly Isles for Summer break. That'll make a change. Renting a house over there. Nice because it's still UK and will still have phone and internet and TV that I understand!!!!

Where you are is radioactive too, that's not good. Yeah, no waste dumps (pic was just for fun) but a small part of the beach is radioactive. Not good for the wildlife or the local sailing club which is situated right next to it.. All a throw back to just after WWII when the MOD decided to dump a pile of old planes into the sea along with their radioactive instrument dials. Fortunately after a lot of pressure from SEPA, our then local MP (helps he is a former PM) and locals the MOD have accepted responsibility and a clean up operation is underway. By 2018 we should apparently be able to go onto the beach and enjoy watching the two headed seagulls! Views are actually not bad. Low level just neighbouring houses & gardens but from upstairs decent views over the Forth to Edinburgh & the Pentland hills, close to where I grew up. We see the odd deer and plenty of seabirds but it sounds like your place is something else. Must be very tranquil! Ian, looks like you have a nice summer break planned. Cornwall is beautiful and the Scilly Isles look is a place I'd like to visit (I like islands in general). Climate isn't bad down that way either.

You could have nuclear subs beside you. Oh, wait.. Don't talk to me about the clunking fist. Total fanny who should be in the Hague. So where did you grow up, Penicuik?
